Do I have to bring in my own patients?
For courses that require clinical patients, students will be required to bring their patients to our location in Rocklin. These courses include Radiation Safety (3 patients) with a dentist-approved authorization and signed health history, needed to have not had a full mouth series of x-rays in the past year (18 x-rays, panoramic, or cephalometric), Pit & Fissure Sealants (4 patients) with one tooth in each quadrant, with non-restored, non-carious lesions. Coronal Polish (3 patients) with no calculus and non-orthodontics. These patient requirements are per DBC requirements.
How much is the course?
The cost of each class depends on the course you are taking and the course load required. Registration fees for each course can be found in the description field for the desired category. Our courses are in range with dental educators in the Sacramento region. We offer a one-weekend approach for each class where you and your patients come to our office in a quiet setting where you have time and our educators' assistants, who have been doing this for over 15 years.
How do I get my Prerequisites ?
Classes that require prerequisites such as an 8-hour infection control certificate, CPR certificate, RDA licensure, or applying for the dental board RDA licensure must email these certificates before course material is sent out. We offer some courses, so please look under the courses tab at the top toolbar for course details and times.
What are the times of the classes?
Each course has different class times and locations.
When the course states "didactic," this is the lecture. Each lecture for the course is different depending on the class; some courses are home study or Zoom. The "pre-clinical” is at our Rocklin location to learn skills and practice on the manikins. The "clinical" is also at our Rocklin location to test the skills required for the specific course. The clinical skills of your patients will be to bring in at a scheduled time. The scheduled time for when you bring in your clinical patients will be given when the registration closes for the class or in the class description in your course material email.
Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
If you cannot make the dates for the course you have registered for, we are happy to offer you a spot in the next scheduled course if a spot is available. There may be a 20% course administration fee for rescheduling any course you have signed up for. You will need to contact the program director by email for a code to re-register for the next course date that you can attend on the WIX platform to save you a spot and put you on the schedule. You are only allowed to reschedule twice and will be charged twice for the rescheduling.

If you wish to cancel a class you signed up for, 20% of the class fee will be deducted for administrative costs. You will be given a refund through WIX via the payment you used. All requests must be by email at californiadentaleducators@gmail.com
Please allow 7-10 days for refunds to be processed.

Please note: Once you have started a course, we encourage you to complete it. Students who do not complete the didactic (lecture), pre-clinical (manikin), or clinical (patient) sessions once the course has begun may be dropped from the course. Any students who have been dropped but would like to complete the course are welcome to contact our program director to review their options.
What is the attire for class?
Students must wear scrubs and closed-toed shoes during all clinical courses, including infection control, radiation safety, pit & fissure sealants, coronal polish, and Orthodontic Assistant courses. The required PPE is goggles or face shield if glasses are worn, masks, patient gloves, and a lab coat. For those who do not have or bring the necessary PPE, we offer kits that can be purchased under the "more" tab at the top of the page.
What if I did not receive my certificate or lost my certificate?
We issue you a certificate at the end of each course. You must give your home address in the registration to deliver certificates, as the post office may not deliver to an office building without a business name. Double-check your spelling and zip code, as your certificate will not get delivered. In these cases, you must pick up your certificate at the clinical office or pay for a duplicate certificate. If you need a new certificate, we can send you a new one for $15. We only hold certifications for up to 5 years from when you took the class.
